BIO

Ben Hecht has been a professional artist since 1994. In addition to operating Redlines Studio and Gallery, he teaches at Seven Directions Institute of Art and Science, a visual arts school he founded in February 2001. Mr. Hecht received both his B.A. in Fine Arts and his M.A. in Education from UC Santa Cruz. He also holds a CLAD teaching credential from UC Santa Cruz.

Mr. Hecht shows his work at the Santa Cruz Cultural Council's Open Studios Art Tour, in Redlines Gallery, and other Bay Area galleries. His work has also been featured at the Santa Cruz Art League, The Dancing Man Gallery, and the Mary Porter Sesnon Gallery. His artwork has been featured in GT Weekly, MetroActive Newspaper, and The Santa Cruz Sentinel.
